SOCCER FANS AND MORE!

Ah, Philadelphia in January! Be there and plan to take part in the upcoming NSCAA Convention presentation entitled; "Building Lifelong Connections-Growing and Sustaining American Soccer."

The presentation will deal directly with the12 prevailing yet unresolved soccer development issues as recently put forth by NSCAA Executive Director, Jim Sheldon, in his year-end report entitled; "Points of Discussion." The report was featured in the November/December issue of the NSCAA Journal. Allied discussion will thereby center on the NSCAA Soccer Ambassador's "10 Projections of its Impact by 2016."

You can find the presentation posted on the official NSCAA Convention schedule for Thursday; January 19th from 12:30 to 1:45 PM in room CC-107.

During the presentation, we're also going to use the opportunity to define the final plan towards our new national soccer research and development initiative. Growing a strong and loyal soccer FAN base hinges dramatically on elevating the overall culture of soccer in America. That's what our expanded program is intended to do. The research and subsequent strategic program phases will address the following:
  • to develop a passionate, life-long fan interest and connection to all levels of the game
  • the extraordinary attrition from "the game" by millions of pre-adolescent and adolescent youth
  • favorably impact private and public investment in the sport
  • increase the sale of soccer consumer products and services

We believe that an MLS fan base can be increased 50% to 80% above the current average gate attendance figures over the next 10 years. Likewise, comparable fan growth can be experienced through special exhibitions [National Teams and others], along with USL and other professional venues.

We have to raise the soccer awareness among soccer moms and dads who border the sidelines at their kid's matches in "hometowns" all across the country. A life-long and seamless fan connection to the sport will mean that a loyal fan following for soccer has to be substantially promoted at the collegiate and high school levels.

"Building Lifelong Connections-Growing and Sustaining American Soccer." If you believe in a dynamic future for soccer in this country, come and find out more about growing the culture of soccer in America!
